At a time when we are all more aware of toxins it is good to know that plants can actively filter the air we breathe. Science shows that plants can be a great way to improve the quality of air in any room – particularly in a double glazed or centrally heated environment. They adsorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen as part of the natural photosynthesis process. Plants are also great moisture regulators, balancing out moisture levels. Humidity and good air circulation have been shown to help prevent the spread of viruses. Interaction with plants can also reduce psychological and physiological stress, contributing to an increase in wellbeing.
